Last E3 we were faced with a lot of leaks. This year, plenty of developers are giving us quite a bit of content ahead of time.
Call of Cthulu received an early trailer, mentioning that there will be insanity effects. It’s always been a favorite game mechanic of mine. We will be playing as an investigator of a murder mystery on a private island, which seems to be the perfect setting and provide the perfect ambiance for a title following the Lovecraft Mythos.
Destiny: Rise of Iron from Bungie showcases the new Plaguelands in their new trailer. With an old theat returning, the last of the old Iron Lords recruits current guardians to fight back. This expansion will be released September 20th, and the Gjallahorn will be a bonus for the preorder of the game.
Inijustice 2 kicks off with Flash, Batman, Aquaman and now Supergirl duking it out amongst one another. Of course, it does look like everyone will get some sort of armor in game. The purpose of which seems to be to brutalize the opponent. If NetherRealm handles this well, it will shape up to be a good contender for Fighter of the Year.
Kingdom Hearts 2.8 is showcased. We have a remastered version of Kingdom Hearts 3D, We have the Chi story movie Backdraft, and 0.2 the sequel to Birth by Sleep. All seems completely geared to setting up Kingdom Hearts III, so it seems it’s trying to tie in all the plot points to move forwards. I can\’ wait for Backdraft, because I want to see what the enigmatic black coat has to do with everything since the Foretellers seem to be breaking down while he is exceptionally carefree. One who knows nothing can understand nothing, but this series just keeps raising more questions.
Will Xbox Scorpio, Playstation Neo and the Nintendo NX be at E3? For Sony, they have stated they are waiting. Since Nintendo are primarily showing the new Zelda which will be both on the Wii U and NX, we might get some information. Project Scorpio looks like it will show up. Now we just have to wait and see.
