The last Lovecraft related game we received was the fun(and demented) Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth. Since then, I’ve been clamoring for something as dark and twisted. This might be what people like me are looking for, and if you are reading this that means it might be you in that category. As many fans of the series know, there is a pen and paper Call of Cthulu game that is produced by Chaosium. This is an adaption of that into game form by Cyanide Studio for both console and pc.
You play as the character Edward Pierce who was once a private investigator during the 1920s in Boston. Their are mysterious deaths which require investigation leading to a family mansion on an island. It is mentioned that sanity will be eroded, which has been accomplished quite well in virtually every iteration of the Lovecraft Mythos. It’s a staple of the franchise. This will lead to hallucinations and leave you the struggle of sorting out the reality of the situation.
